Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at Jaipuriar School onSeptember 6. Enthusiasm and festivity marked the teacher day celebration.Inspired by Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and his principles, teachers and studentspaid tribute to this great visionary, philosopher and educationist. The eventcommenced with the Principal, Mrs Aarti Singh giving a floral tribute to Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, scholar, teacher and the first President of the country, in whose memory Teachers’ Day is celebrated. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the founder Principal, Mrs Sinha, Mrs Rashmi Jaipuriar,Mrs. Bhatnagar Mrs Aarti Singh and the school coordinators. The Principal spoke to the children and reminded them of the tireless labour and love all their teachers put in to bring them up as knowledgeable and compassionate individuals. The Principal also commended the efforts of every teacher for the painstaking effort they selflessly put in every day. The students of Classes I to XII put up a spectacular show for the occasion to honour all the teachers who had been instrumental in shaping their lives. The programme consisted of foot tapping songs, dances and fun-filled interactions with teachers. Special games for teacherswere organised which made the day all the more memorable. It was truly a proud day for the teachers to bask in the love and attention they received from their students!
